Major Milestone: The TJAAA Campaign Is Gaining Serious Momentum
Last week, we began a targeted outreach campaign to legislative staff across the country to raise awareness for the Truth in Job Advertising and Accountability Act (TJAAA)—our proposal to end ghost jobs and restore integrity to the hiring process.
We're only a little over halfway through sending our first wave of messages, and here’s where we stand:
300 emails sent
100% delivery rate
40% open rate (well above advocacy averages)
4% response rate
4 virtual meetings scheduled
1 in-person meeting confirmed
Several offices have already asked whether we have a sponsor—and the answer is: not yet, but the conversations are happening.
This is a big step for a grassroots legislative effort—and we’re still going strong. The campaign continues this week as we reach out to the remaining 235 staffers, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going.
