50,000 Americans Demand an End to Ghost Jobs
The Truth in Job Advertising and Accountability Act (TJAAA) movement has officially reached over 50,000 signatures, marking a major step in the fight to bring transparency and fairness to the job market.
This milestone reflects something deeper than frustration; It reflects solidarity. Across all 435 congressional districts, job seekers are raising their voices about the harm caused by ghost jobs:
Wasted hours applying to postings that were never real
Financial strain from prolonged, misleading job searches
Distorted labor market data
Erosion of public trust in employers, platforms, and institutions
To illustrate the growth of this movement, we’ve released an interactive district-level map: https://www.datawrapper.de/_/L1GIa/?v=2
This is more than a petition—it’s a national call for accountability.
Next Steps:
We will continue meeting with congressional offices, expanding outreach, and advocating for the full passage of the TJAAA. This milestone strengthens our case and demonstrates the urgency job seekers feel every day.
Thank you to every supporter who helped us get here. Together, we’re proving that transparency in hiring is not only possible, it’s necessary.
